TESTIMONIAL: First class training, wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. Learnt a lot, especially that I need to re-read the Highway Code! Thank you very much Anita! (Sue D)
TESTIMONIAL: I was pleased to find a Driving Instructor who could help me to understand the different techniques I would need to drive this 24 ft long motorhome. I have found the training immensely useful and I am most grateful for Anita’s teachings and advice. Thank you, I now have more confidence in keeping myself and others safe!
BENEFITS OF USING OUR TRAINING SERVICES:
As well as having exemplary report writing skills, Anita is experienced in driving campervans and motorhomes of varying sizes (owning these vehicles herself) including the manoeuvring of similarly sized vehicles and will be able to give you advice from her many years experience of using her own motorhome and campervan. You will be driving your own motorhome or campervan ‘on road’ and NOT around cones on a car park! Other organisations may charge for a person observing in the back of the vehicle but we DO NOT charge any extra for this. You will only pay for the fee of the ‘driver’ despite another passenger travelling in the back of the vehicle listening in and NOT driving!
WHEN YOU CONTACT US, WE WILL REQUIRE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION:
Height, Length and Width of your Campervan or Motorhome
Make, Model and Registration
Copy of your Insurance Certificate and confirmation from your insurance company via email that they are happy for driver training to take place in YOUR vehicle.
You will need to generate a Driving Licence Check Code following the link:
AND let us have your Driving Licence Number in order for you to share your driving licence details with us.
HOW LONG WILL THE TRAINING TAKE PLACE?
Training would be for either a half day (3 hours – may be longer if 2 people sharing training e.g 4 hours) or a full day (6 hours) on either a 1-1 or 2-1 basis – it’s up to you.
WHERE WOULD WE MEET YOU?
The Driving Instructor could meet you at a mutually convenient point and if you prefer to stay on a local camp site in Worcestershire then please contact us and we can recommend one for you. Please note that if a start point is out of our area, then mileage may be charged.
To enable the Driving Instructor to spend more time with you for Driver Training we would ask that you watch the following videos and familiarise yourself first with the vehicle checks of your vehicle which will be similar to your car and be able to locate the bonnet catch! We appreciate that this might be new to you and therefore, if you would like the vehicle checks to be included with your driver training session then we can assist you with this.
You might be thinking of what you would do if your partner suddenly became ill and no longer able to drive your Motorhome or Campervan, especially if you have never actually driven it yourself. It may be that the size of vehicle has put you off even getting into the driving seat!
The Driver Training can be done on a 2-1 or 1-1 basis – it’s up to you!
If it’s on a 2-1 basis then both people can learn off each other and this may benefit you both rather than having a 1-1.
PARTICULAR TOPICS COVERED WOULD BE:
Road positioning of vehicles at junctions due to the size of the vehicle which will be different to when driving your own car.
Using a Sat Nav and a handy tip would be to make a note of the route numbers on a set of Post-it Notes to ensure that you don’t end up taking your vehicle down a narrow lane and unable to turn the vehicle around!
AT THE END OF THE TRAINING SESSION:
An informative ‘Driver Report’ AND ‘Certificate of Competence’ will be sent to you at the end of your training session.
For further information on what can be included in your Training Programme and a copy of our Course Content, please contact Anita Haddon-Davies on 07983 881013, where training can be tailored to your specific needs. Training is charged on an hourly basis recommending either a half day or full day’s training, with a qualified Driving Instructor.
Don’t have a van? We don’t supply vans for training. However, if you would like a session and need a van, we would recommend hiring a van local to yourself, and training can then be arranged to start from the van hire depot. A number of customers who needed van training but did not have access to a van opted for this.
PLEASE NOTE: You will need to check that your Campervan or Motorhome is covered for driver training and confirmation of this will need to be provided to us from your insurance company.
£40 per hour. Please contact Anita on 07983 881013 to discuss your needs further.
I have had fantastic tuition from your company today. The Driving Instructor was so helpful, patient, and gave me great tips to avoid crunching those gears. Would highly recommend your Campervan and Motorhome driver training sessions. Thank you!
