Types of courses  in Worcestershire that can be offered are:

Fleet Driving  – Test Training

For clients that are looking to take their practical car driving test.  One of our experienced and qualified driving instructors would take you through everything that was required of you in order to take a UK practical driving test.

Occupational Road Risk Assessment and Written Report

You would be marked against an Occupational Road Risk criteria, with coaching and support given whilst driving and a written report would be available once the training session had been completed.

Refresher Training

It may be that you passed your practical driving test some considerable time ago, and are wanting an assessment of your current driving.  Advanced driving techniques will be shown in order to bring your driving up to the required standard for driving on today’s busy roads.

Refresher Training / Upgrade to a larger vehicle (up to 3.5 tonne)

You are probably more than happy driving your own car but when it comes to driving a slightly longer and wider vehicle, you may not be as confident in driving this type of vehicle.  You will be shown how to manoeuvre such a vehicle as well as how to handle driving the vehicle on busy town and rural roads. Motorway driving can be included if required.  This training is usually a 2 hour session but can be extended to 4 hours depending on what the individual requires.

New Employee Assessment

You may have a new employee who has started work within your business and as of yet, you do not know the standard of that employee’s driving.  Therefore, a New Employee Assessment can be carried out for that driver against the standards that are required appertaining to risk, with a written report made available at the end of the training session.

Accident Reduction Training

It may be that one of your employee’s has had a ‘near miss’ experience during their ‘day to day’ driving and requires some advanced driver training to help improve accident reduction on the road.  Sometimes, we find that employees who have not received ANY type of driver training since passing their practical driving test may require some ‘advanced’ and sometimes called ‘refresher’ training. Perhaps in the age group 50 – 70 years of age.

Collision care – forward

This type of training course relates to employees who have experienced a collision whilst moving ‘forward’, which may even be something like ‘a rear end shunt’.

Collision care – reversing

This type of training course relates to employees who have experienced a collision whilst ‘reversing’, which may even be something like they have ‘reversed into another vehicle whilst in a car park’, or ‘reversed into a bollard / post’.

Collision care – rural

An employee who works within your company and drives a considerable amount during their day to day work whilst driving predominantly on rural roads has perhaps hit an animal or another vehicle.

Collision care – urban

An employee who works within your company and drives a considerable amount during their day to day work whilst driving predominantly on urban roads has perhaps hit another vehicle.

Collision care – urban & rural

An employee who works within your company and drives a considerable amount during their day to day work whilst driving predominantly on urban and rural roads has perhaps hit either another vehicle or animal.

Collision care – motorway

An employee who works within your company and drives a considerable amount during their day to day work whilst driving predominantly on motorways and has perhaps hit another vehicle or central reservation.

Motorway Driver Training

This type of course may be for someone requiring ‘refresher’ training or who may not have ever driven on the motorway and requires coaching techniques in order to overtake, change lanes at speed.

Vehicle Maintenance Courses

A short course on how to maintain your vehicle giving confidence in changing a wheel, checking fluid levels under the bonnet, checking damage of a vehicle and electrical system is in correct working order before a journey commences.

Economic Driving Courses

The way we drive has changed considerably over the years including when people are now learning to pass their driving test, they must drive economically, saving fuel.  Driving uneconomically can be attributed to harsh braking, and using incorrect gears for the speed of the engine.  This training session educates the driver refreshing their previous driving skills and at the same time, helping them to maintain their vehicle, and driving within their vehicle’s limits.

**Courses can combine both theory and practical ‘in car’ training.  Again, the courses can be tailored to the individual’s needs and your own business requirements.  Theory based training includes asking the individual to look at identifying the responsibilities for the cause of situations in ‘environment’ / ‘vehicle’ / ‘circumstances’ revealing that the individual should accept personal responsibility.  As drivers we have a tendency to attribute why we lapse to ‘other’ factors.  The practical ‘in car’ training is more about ‘client centred-learning’ with coaching techniques to help and support the driver.**
