At AHD Driver Training Ltd we have many years experience of training learners to pass their driving test, driving in and around the Worcestershire area. As you may already know, the practical driving test is due to change and at AHD Driver Training Ltd we are already training learners in the new driving test criteria! Your driving instructor, on your first driving lesson, will take you to what we call a ‘nursery area’ which is already likely to be familiar to you, being in the Evesham area.
Evesham Driving Lessons
You will be shown the controls of the vehicle and how the dual controls are used by the instructor. On your first driving lesson, you will also be moving off from the side of the road and parking at the side of the road. This will be a very exciting time for you if you have not driven before and it will give you an incite into what will be shown to you on the rest of your driver training with us. Your driver training will start in the Evesham area and as you become more confident in driving, your driving instructor will cover test routes in and around the Worcestershire area including taking you to the test station in Worcester before the date of your actual driving test.
Vehicles used are clean and tidy, well maintained, which all have dual controls and are VW Polo, VW Golf, Ford Focus, Ford Fiesta. Your driving instructor is used to helping people with varying needs to learn to drive, including dyslexia and dyspraxia and will on each lesson provide a Progress Sheet in order to monitor how you are getting on with the criteria for the practical test. Also, if you are requiring help to pass the theory test, your instructor is able to help you with this too! There is nothing that they are not able to help you with.
Manoeuvres currently taught on driving lessons are: left and right bay park, left and right reverse, left parallel park, turn in the road. Your parents may know the ‘turn in the road’ manoeuvre as the ‘3 point turn’. This is the same manoeuvre although previously you would have to have completed the manoeuvre in ‘3 parts’ whereas now you can complete in 3 parts but if required to move the vehicle’s position on one occasion will only be given ‘1 fault’. Obviously during your driver training, you will be given enough practice in order to complete the manoeuvre in ‘3 parts’ in order to limit the amount of faults as possible. Some of our learners have scored ‘0’ faults on their driving test.

I have to say that Nick was excellent in preparing me for my driving test today and made me believe I was ready for it. I wasn't nervous at all taking my test and that was largely down to Nick. I wouldn't change anything from his style of teaching.
