If you are looking to learn to drive, why not try AHD Driver Training Ltd for all your driving needs? You might be reaching 17 years of age and starting your driving lessons and wondering what is required. We advise that you apply for your provisional driving licence before organising the booking of your driving lessons as we will need to check these details from you. Your driving instructor will then advise you on when to book your theory and practical tests. Droitwich is a lovely place to learn to drive in that it has lots of nice places to drive, including town and rural roads, and you are not far from the Worcester Test Station. Our Driving Instructors use a multitude of roads, including Primsland Way, Newland Road, Windsor Road, Oakland Avenue in Droitwich.
They have experience of training drivers that already hold a motorcycle licence and have decided to learn to drive. Our Driving Instructors are qualified motorcyclists and are able to give a ‘conversion course’ in helping them to pass their driving test in Worcester.
Droitwich Driving Lessons
Driving lessons will start around ‘nursery routes’ within the Droitwich area and then move onto driving around the routes of Worcester which will get you ready for your practical test.
Did you know that out of every hour, a driver only concentrates for 15 minutes within that hour, so who is driving the vehicle the rest of the time…? Your driving instructor will train you to drive using a commentary, talking about the hazards as you see them, to help aid your concentration whilst driving. You will be asked to carry out an independent drive following instructions given by your driving instructor in readiness for your practical driving test, as well as driving forwards into a bay and parking on the right hand side of the road. These are just a few of the changes that may take place in the new practical driving test which is due to start in 2017.
Did you know that the most dangerous roads to drive are rural roads? 51% of fatalities in 2015 occurred on rural roads, with 6% on motorways and 43% on urban roads. More serious collisions occur on urban roads at 72% rather than on a motorway and rural roads (2015 figures). You will drive on a multitude of road types including dual carriageways, roundabout and mini roundabouts, being given tuition by your driving instructor.
